Academy village
Academy Village, in the beautiful desert landscape of Rincon Valley, just southeast of Tucson, was founded by Dr. Henry Koffler, President Emeritus of the University of Arizona. Academy Village is a unique community of supportive men and woman who share a passion for the arts, life-long learning, and wellness, and have discovered a new way of aging.
On any given day, you may find a presentation on local geology, a yoga class, a first-rate concert, an art group exploring watercolors, a guest lecturer speaking on astronomy, or a resident leading a discussion on politics. Academy Village members believe in community activism and have, among other things, made school presentations, mentored local students, served as Science Fair judges, and sponsored aspiring young musicians.
The Arizona Senior Academy is the heart of The Village. The Academy is a nonprofit organization devoted to life-long learning, thinking, and doing. It is a source of educational and cultural programs that complement the health and wellness programs, services, and social events provided by the Village Homeowner’s Association.
This innovative community has expanded its living options to include assisted living in Academy Villas. All Arizona Senior Academy programming will be available to assisted living residents of Academy Villas.
